Reno, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com)-- A man was placed under arrest after allegedly robbing two local convenience stores while intoxicated on the night of January 12, 2013.

According to police reports, in the late evening on January 12 and into the morning hours of January 13th, a man robbed both the 7 Eleven at 4995 W. 7th Street and the Jackson's at 9530 S. McCarran Boulevard. Witnesses say that during the robberies he used a large, machete-sized knife.

After the first two robberies the suspect then attempted to rob the Walmart at 5260 W. 7th Street, but was stopped by employees. The suspect then fled, and was caught about 20 minutes later driving through downtown. Police took him into custody and found that he was intoxicated and had two prior DUI convictions.
