RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- A jewelry extravaganza on May 15th could pose as the perfect Mother's Day gift for you and your loved one.

All proceeds of the event will benefit the Women and Children's Center of the Sierra. More than a thousand pieces of jewelry will be for sale from $1 to $100. Participants can donate and shop for a piece of precious, costume, vintage, or contemporary jewelry.

Proceeds from the sale of your donated treasure will help local women escape poverty and provide better lives for their families. The big night is a week from today from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Atlantis. A donated piece of jewelry is required to attend the night, and must be donated before the night of the event. People who donate an item before the event will get an invitation to shop. Jewelry can be of any value, just bring one piece and enjoy.
