Judical Performance Survey released by Washoe County Bar Association

RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- The Washoe County Bar Association has released the results of their 2014 Judicial Performance Survey.

The WCBA sent invitations to nearly 1,200 public and private attorneys who practice in Washoe Courts. The survey asked 23 questions, asking the attorneys to rate each judge on a scale from 1-5, with 5 being excellent. The questions were about topics such as: knowledge and application of substantive law, ability to perceive factual/legal issues, management and control of trials and hearings, behavior free from bias regarding gender, efficiency in docket management, and promptness in rendering decisions.

The final question was a yes or no question: Should this judge be retained?

Here are the results, with the judge's average performance score, and percentage who think the judge should be retained:

The WCBA conducts this survey to provide the public with information on the judge's abilities gathered from the lawyers who practice in the courts, and to offer constructive feedback to the judges. The survey was conducted online using the firm BallotBoxOnline.
