UPDATE (3AM)- A 17 year old male has been arrested in the stabbing death of Andrew Amez-Cua.
Reno Police say they found the juvenile Wednesday night who was wanted for questioning in the deadly stabbing which happened on the 2600 block of Yori Avenue.
After speaking with him, as well as other witnesses, detectives arrested the male juvie for one count of open murder and robbery with a deadly weapon according to officers.
Reno P.D. say they found 20 year old Andrew Amez-Cua suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.
RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Reno Police are investigating a deadly stabbing that happened on Yori Avenue Saturday.
The incident happened around 4am on Oct. 12 on the 2600 block of Yori.
Officers found 20-year-old Andrew Amezcua suffering from multiple stab wounds and began life saving measures. The subject was transported to a local hospital where he was declared deceased.
Police say the victim was involved in an altercation with one or more unidentified suspects. The investigation is ongoing and the Reno Police Department is requesting anyone with information regarding this stabbing to call Secret Witness at 322-4900. They are offering a $2,500 reward for arrest and prosecution of the suspect(s).
