Longtime Nevada assistant football coach Ken Wilson is leaving the program to join the staff at Washington State. Wilson told News 4 sports director Bryan Samudio that he has accepted the position with WSU, but that no contract has been signed just yet. Wilson had recently been named Associate Athletic Director in charge of football operations under new head coach Brian Polian. Wilson spent 13 seasons at Nevada, primarily coaching linebackers while serving as Nevada's assistant head coach under Chris Ault. Wilson will coach linebackers at Wazzu and will be joined there by Nevada graduate assistant Mike Bethea. Wilson and Bethea are joining former Nevada running backs coach Jim Mastro with the Cougars.
