RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- News 4's Dina Kupfer spoke exclusively with the mother Korinda Rodriguez, who was shot by her husband on US 395, according to Reno Police. Her mother says Korinda's husband left a voicemail for after shooting his wife.

Mildred Olriksen's daughter, Korinda Rodriguez, was allegedly shot and killed on US 395 by her husband 29-year-old Jeff Rodriguez.  Olriksen says authorities told her suspect Jeff Rodriguez and Korinda got in an argument Sunday when she left for work that night. Police say Jeff followed her, ran her off the road, then allegedly shot and killed her.

Olriksen says Jeff left a chilling voicemail for her at 2:46am after shooting Korinda.  Olriksen says she never saw that side of Jeff, and that she was shocked, and will never be able to forgive him.

Jeff and Korinda have two daughters who have been put in foster care.  Jeff was arrested on scene and taken into custody on multiple charges, including open murder and ex-felon in possession of a firearm.

It makes me sick to read kaspers comment, Idk who you think you are cold hearted person. But I will be the first to admit my mom is the most amazing woman around. She would drop anything to help out her kids or grandkids. She has a huge heart. So I'm not going to let hurtful words get in the way during this hard time. I just want to say if my mom sees this, stay strong and I love you !
