RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- With its highly-anticipated grand opening less than two weeks away, LEX Nightclub has released their entertainment lineup for its first two months, highlighted by national acts, top resident area DJs and ‘Locals Night’ every Thursday starting July 31st, according to LEX spokesperson Tara Trovato.
Grand Sierra Resort and Casino’s $15 million, 25,000 sq. ft. nightlife venue opens its doors to the public with a grand opening celebration on Friday, July 11 at 8 p.m. Co-author of LMFAO’s hit song “Shots,” DJ Eric D-Lux will appear at LEX as part of the grand opening. Rock star drummer Tommy Lee will take over the LEX turntables with DJ Aero on Friday, July 25.
“We are confident that LEX will be a game-changer for entertainment and nightlife in the West and we have put together a regular lineup of entertainment that should appeal to a wide range of guests,” said Ben Schwartz, director of nightlife marketing for LEX Nightclub. “LEX is also already gaining the reputation as the place to be for celebrities and entertainers looking to have a good time in northern Nevada and, as such, we have a few big name surprises that we hope to be able to announce very soon.”
On Friday, Aug. 22, The Chainsmokers, who have become a worldwide phenomenon with the song “#Selfie” are scheduled to appear. LEX also announced that, beginning July 31, every Thursday will be ‘Locals Night’ with DJ2wice, and admission will be free for locals before midnight. Other Resident DJs scheduled for LEX include well-known locals and Bay Area DJs Rick Gee, Enfo, Peeti V and Eddie Edul.
