Lake Tahoe Basin Management begins sale of fuelwood permits

LAKE TAHOE, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Starting Monday May 19th the US forest service's Lake Tahoe Basin Management unit will begin the sale of fuelwood permits.

Permits cost $20 per cord, with a two-cord minimum purchase and a limit of ten cords per household. The permit is for collection of downed, dead wood up to 30 in. in diameter in designated fuelwood areas within the Lake Tahoe Basin.

The last day to purchase a permit is Friday November 14th.
