Liberace's ex-lover pleads guilty to burglary, using fake identification

RENO, Nev. (KRNV & -- Scott Thorson appeared before the Honorable Judge Patrick Flanagan in Department 7 of the Second Judicial District Court today.

Washoe County District Attorney's Office says he pled guilty to a single count of Burglary and Using the Personal Identification Information of Another.

He faces a sentence for the Burglary count of one to ten years in Nevada State Prison and a fine of $10,000.00. His exposure for the crime of Using the Personal Identification of Another, is one to twenty years and a fine of up to $100,000.00. The sentencing date is July 3, 2013.

On February 22, 2013 the defendant came into possession of a wallet containing credit cards, and a driver’s license and a social security card of Daniel Roehl. The defendant visited 7-11 located at 690 E. 2nd Street, Wudd Wireless, located at 1447 East 4th Street, Computerman USA, located at 701 East 2nd Street, and the Ponderosa Hotel located at 515 South Virginia Street, in Reno and fraudulently used the credit cards of the victim, obtaining a variety of items by false pretenses, according to the Washoe County District Attorney's Office.

Thorson was the lover of Liberace.
