RENO, Nev. (KRNV & -- Liberace's ex-lover appeared before a judge this morning after he was arrested for a parole violation last week.

Scott Thorson was allegedly found with meth and cocaine in his system a week ago, under the alias Jess Marlow. This is a violation of his court ordered drug program, which he voluntarily left.

He could have faced lengthy prison time from his original suspended jail sentence for burglary and ID theft charges, but instead the judge put Thorson back in drug court and probation

Assistant District Attorney John Helzer argued Thorson should face his original suspended jail sentence of 8-20 years, but Judge Patrick Flanagan examined Thorson's progress and clean record while in the program and said it was working.

David Houston, Thorson's attorney, requested Thorson be allowed back to Lyon County to continue drug counseling and treatment which was denied by Flanagan who again said Thorson's perceived celebrity status has no betting in court, nor does he deserve special treatment.

Thorson is set to be released from county jail tomorrow.
