(KRNV & MyNews4.com)-- RENO, Nev.He's been the local voice for adaptive athletes for years, and now, he's got the chance to represent the red, white and blue on the world stage.
Reno adaptive athlete Matt Bailey has been invited to Park City, Utah to try out for the US adaptive bobsled and skeleton team.
He'll also be making runs in Calgary to try and qualify for team USA.
Matt tells News 4 that he is honored by this opportunity to represent his country and that the eventual idea is to try and make skeleton a medal sport.
The trials will be January 20-25th, the World Championships are in 2016. The USABSA will be picking up some of the tab, but if you'd like to help Matt out, you can call (775) 291-8102.
