RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- In the days and weeks leading up to Valentine's Day, people are often focused on love, but one local company wants you to spread the feeling with a smile.

Live Gracefully is a Sparks-based supplement company and they're hoping to increase people's wellness through boosting their spirits, by giving out what they call "love litter."

"People feel happy when they recieve Hal and they feel really good about themselves when they give Hal," company spokeswoman Brenda Do said.

Do created the smiley face named Hal to spread wellness.

"I truly believe that love is the best medicine of all," Do said.

Do said Hal is a simple way to remember an important message.

"Here's a smile, remind yourself to be happy every single day," Do said.

Do said happiness improves your health, so Live Gracefully gives Hal stickers with every supplement order, or you can get some for free by emailing the company.

"We give at least two per order," she said. "You keep Hal for yourself and the rule is you put him somewhere that you see every single day, your cell phone, your water bottle, whatever it happens to be, so you stay happy."

Then you spread that joy with the extra.

"You hand Hal to someone else, anytime any place that you just feel inspired to do so," she said.

From strangers to people you know and love, Do said Hal will brighten anyone's day.

"It's like getting a hug," she said.

This love litter isn't just for Valentine's Day.

"As long as people will accept Hal, I'll keep giving him out," Do said.

Live Gracefully also partners with local non-profits. So if you're looking for a fundraising opportunity, you can contact Do and she'll tell you how you can get a five dollar donation from each supplement bottle sold.

what's with love "litter", anyway? Is this like the chumps who drive around tossing baggies of "advertising" cards onto driveways? Talk about unwanted trash...

Recall that "Hal" was the artificial intelligence/computer who rebelled and tried to destroy the astronauts in "2001: A Space Oddessy", Guess none of these Happy Face folks "get it", right?
