RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Local Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) clubs at Damonte Ranch High School, Galena High School, and McQueen High School, are trying to make it a joyous holiday season for the hungry by competing in first annual FCA Holiday Food Drive.
These FCA clubs have partnered with the Food Bank of Northern Nevada (FBNN), while competing with one another, to see who can accumulate the most canned goods and non-perishable items for the FBNN. The competition officially runs from Wednesday, Dec. 5, through Wednesday, Dec. 19.
The winning club will be given a trophy made of cans, and each year the club that collects the most for the FBNN will win the trophy, just like how the winner of the Nevada vs. UNLV game keeps the Fremont Cannon for the year.
