RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- On Tuesday July 8th, 2014, Marked Studios is holding a free tattoo day for active duty military. The goal is to tattoo as many soldiers as possible.

Mark McKinnon, owner of Marked Studios, says 7 artists will be working throughout the day tattooing whoever walks in the door.

McKinnon says he wanted host the event in honor of heroes like his nephew who is currently serving in the Marines and is stationed in Okinawa, Japan.

"It's something that will last a lifetime and means something to every person who chooses one," McKinnon says.

Tuesday marks the first time Marked Studios has held the event. The shop celebrated their one year anniversary as a studio last month. McKinnon

Marked Studios' free tattoo day for active duty military will be held July 8th 2014 from 9:30am-9:30pm at 945 W Moana Ln. Everything is completely free.

They are asking clients to bring a current military ID and driver's license. There will be premade flash drawn up to choose from at the studio. Everything is first come, first serve. So once one is picked out by a client, that tattoo will be out and unique to that client.
