RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Tis the season of giving, and one local group is in need of your help.
Marcus Woods has been collecting toys for kids in our community for years through his Cops vs. Robbers charity basketball game, but this year, his collection hit a bump in the road when he says a jar of donated money meant to go toward purchasing new toys for kids was taken from a local business.
Now, Woods is asking for the community's support to help replenish the toy supply.
You can drop toys off at Lilly's Restaurant at Kietzke Lane and Grove Street now through Friday, Dec. 7, or call Marcus Woods directly at (775) 378-8792.
The gifts will be given out after the charity basketball game on Saturday at the Evelyn Mount Community Center. Tickets are $5. All donations are greatly appreciated.
Doors open at 12:30, and any parent who needs help this holiday season is encouraged to attend.
