Lockdown Lifted at All Three South Reno Schools

UPDATE - FEB. 6 - 11:30AM - Secret Witness is offering a reward of $500 for information about the suspect leading to arrest. Call 322-4900 if you have any information.



UPDATE--11:15 a.m.

According to the Washoe County Sheriff's Office, the suspect is still outstanding, but they have stopped their active search for him.
RENO, NV (MyNews4.com) --A precautionary lockdown has been lifted at Elizabeth Lenz Elementary, Marvin Picollo Elementary and Bishop Manogue High School.

According to Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Chuck Allen, the incident began when a male suspect stole a vehicle and led law enforcement on a chase. The male suspect then left the car and bailed on foot in the area of South Virginia between Foothill Rd. and Monogue.

The Washoe County Sheriff's Office is working on the case and RAVEN was in the area for an hour searching the area. The Washoe County Sheriff's Office says they're looking for a white male adult, who is wearing gray sweatshirt, baggy pants. He has a shaven head, is 5'10" and has a medium build. 

Washoe County Sheriff's Office asks the public if they see the suspect or know any information, to call 911.
