Los Angeles man arrested in Carson City for trafficking meth

CARSON CITY, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- One man is in jail after he was allegedly caught with over 2,000 grams of methamphetamine in his car.

According to the Carson City Sheriff's Office, 46-year-old Jose Reyes Andrade was arrested in the 100-block of East Long Street after an on-patrol deputy spotted Andrade's vehicle in front of closed businesses early Tuesday morning. After submitting to a vehicle search, the meth was found in the trunk under the spare tire. Deputies found five wrapped bundles, each containing around 330 grams per bundle.

According to Sheriff Ken Furlong, the street value of the drugs is near $250,000.

Andrade was booked this morning into Carson City Jail. He faces a felony charge of meth trafficking, sales and transportation. Bail has been set at $270,000.
