We all make mistakes at some time or another. Question is, do we deserve to die for them? I say no! It's better to learn from them. This and other near tragedy stories are why I developed a way to make cell phone calls from locations like Seven Troughs where you normally can't. See my blog for details and pictures: dots911.blogspot.com I want everybody to be able to make calls from extremely bad cell signal locations. I even have a cell phone app to direct you to the nearest signal when you have none. Regards, John Wilbur DOTS911.com

I agree, that jeep had no business having 6 people in it. Especially messing around in the snow. You NEVER go alone.

because ignorance is rewarded. there is no way this guy should be on the today show because he should be in a court for putting childrens lives at risk. but thus is life in northern nevada, the justice system doesnt give a $*#&

Why has it not been noticed that the jeep only has seat belts for 3 across the back and 4 kids ? They were putting the kids at risk before even getting out on the road..
