RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Motorists could find relief at the gas pump in the new year. AAA is predicting lower gasoline prices in 2014.

According to AAA, gasoline prices will most likely average slightly less, because of increased refinery capacity and a recent boom in domestic oil production.

In 2013, AAA says drivers paid on average $3.49 per gallon for gasoline, the lowest price since 2010. 2012 was the most expensive year when consumers paid an average $3.60 per gallon.

According to Gasbuddy.com, the current Nevada average is $3.29 per gallon.
