FERNLEY, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- After a two month investigation, the Lyon County Sheriff's Office arrested a man in Fernley who was selling narcotics out of his home.
The Lyon County Sheriff's Office Investigation/Narcotics Division executed a search warrant of the home in Fernley, which resulted in the recovery of 3.8 lbs. of marijuana, 7.6 grams of methamphetamine, illegal prescription pills and a firearm.
The front bedroom of the residence was acting as a narcotic distribution center, where suspect Matthew Mcarthur was selling methamphetamine, marijuana and illegal pills through his bedroom window, according to the Sheriff's Office. A surveillance system in Mcarthur's bedroom was wired into a 50 inch flat screen television. It monitored the front of the residence and the window where Mcarthur sold controlled substances from.
Thirty-six year old Fernley resident Mcarthur was arrested and booked into Lyon County Jail with a bail of $150,000 and charged with Trafficking methamphetamine Level I, Possession of a controlled substance for sales, Possession of marijuana over one ounce and owning or possessing a gun by an unauthorized person.
