Lyon County to focus on enforcing speed, pedestrian traffic laws

LYON COUNTY, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting several traffic safety and pedestrian enforcement details in the Dayton, Fernley, Stagecoach, Silver Springs and Mason Valley areas on June 13, 2013.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office and the Joining Forces/Department of Office of Traffic Safety will be focusing on speed enforcement and pedestrian traffic laws.

Today, deputies in the Fernley area will be on the look out for vehicles that fail to yield to pedestrians as well as pedestrians that fail to follow proper laws regarding crossing of streets.

Throughout the event, deputies will be active in the Dayton, Fernley, Stagecoach, Silver Springs and Mason Valley areas conducting extra traffic enforcement focusing mainly on speeding vehicles during the event
