BOSTON, Mass. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- The man arrested in a bomb hoax at the Boston Marathon finish line on Tuesday has appeared in court.

25-year-old Kevin Edson was arraigned on felony charges, including Possession of a Hoax Explosive Device and Making a False Bomb Threat, after he was arrested near the race finish line with a rice cooker. No explosives were found.

The city is on edge as the annual marathon approaches on Monday. Last year, twin blasts at the marathon finish line killed three people and injured hundreds more.
