TRUCKEE, Calif. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Truckee Police Department responded to a call of domestic violence on at Beacon Way Friday, Jan. 11. The female victim, police say, had been involved in a physical struggle with the suspect and was being prevented from calling for help.

The suspect was not on scene but was later located and was arrested.

On Saturday, Jan. 12, officers of the Truckee Police Department once again responded to Beacon Way for a domestic violence call. Officers again contacted the original victim who reported she had been locked in a room all night by the suspect and was denied access to a phone to call for assistance.

Officers entered the residence as the victim believed the suspect and a three-year-old child were still inside. Officers found the suspect hiding with the three-year-old in a closet. The suspect, Douglas Fleming, 42 , was taken into custody without incident and booked into Nevada County Jail, Truckee. The three-year-old was unharmed.
