RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- A man has been charged with four felony animal cruelty charges after hoarding almost 60 animals.
Barry Brode, Director Animal Services for Washoe County, says suspect Ronnie Bandoni had 45 rabbits, eight cats and six dogs at his residence on Merchant Street. Those animals are currently being cared for by veterinarians. Brode says they're all expected to live, despite being dehydrated and malnourished.
Animal control will be back tomorrow to followup. Bandoni had been warned previously. Concerned neighbors called Sparks Police Department about Bandoni's animals.
Only three dogs and seven cats are allowed in a person's home by law.
