Reno, NV (KRNV & MYNEWS4.COM)--Officers responded to the scene around 10:30 Saturday night to reports of a suspect impersonating a police officer.
The suspect, identified as Kenneth Leander Crockett II,  was contacting a female in the area of South Meadows Parkway and I-580.

According to the victim, Crockett allegedly contacted the 18-year-old female while she was depositing money at a bank, claiming he was an "off duty police officer."
Crockett then directed the victim back to his vehicle, where she observed flashing amber lights. Crockett then began to search the female victim, while attempting to reach down the victim's waistband.

The victim proceeded to push Crockett away and requested a marked police car, which stopped any further contact.
Crockett then allowed the victim to return to her vehicle and drive away where she contacted police.

Crockett was arrested for one county of battery with intent to commit sexual assault, kidnapping and impersonating an officer.
