CARLIN, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- A man has been arrested for allegedly shooting and killing his mother and badly wounding his half-brother in Carlin.
Police say suspect Brant Davis was taken into custody just before 9 a-m today after police arrived to find Teresa Black, 52, dead at the scene. The victim’s 19-year-old son, Taylor, also known as T.J., was critically wounded and airlifted directly to a Salt Lake City hospital.
Officers arrested 22-year-old Davis, described as T.J.’s half-brother, as he was still on the scene.
Sheriff’s Lt. Kevin McKinney said investigators aren’t sure what prompted the shooting.
The suspect had recently moved back to Carlin from Oregon where he had been living the past two-and-a-half years, arriving on Friday, March 8th.
