RENO, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- Scary moments inside a McDonald's on Kietzke Lane when a man pulled out a gun and pointed it at his girlfriend.

According to Reno Police Lieutenant Amy Newman, calls about the incident were received just before 9 p.m. on Friday. When officers arrived, the suspect had fled the area and police searched the surrounding neighborhoods, eventually locating the man near Wonder and Locust streets a few blocks away.

Officers arrested the man, who has a previous history of resisting police officers. He did have the weapon on him when he was taken into custody. His identity has not yet been released.

Was this guy a CCW holder? Probably not. People who go to the effort and expense to get a CCW are pretty careful not to do stupid things like this that jeopardize their future right to carry.
