DOUGLAS COUNTY, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Douglas County Sheriff's Office says a San Francisco man has been arrested after a high speed chase on Kingsbury Grade.
DCSO assisted the operation after California Highway Patrol reported they were chasing a black Chevy Malibu near Meyers, Calif. As the vehicle entered into Nevada, Douglas County Sheriff Deputies joined the pursuit, which continued up Kingsbury Grade.
The Malibu continued on Kingsbury Grade into the Carson Valley at over 90mph. The vehicle then turned north onto Foothill Road and continued at over 100mph.
The Malibu traveled through the town of Genoa. That's when DCSO says the driver, Steven Linsey 53 from San Francisco, CA, finally yielded at Jacks Valley Road and Trail Court.
Linsey was arrested and transported to the Douglas County Jail and booked on charges of reckless driving, eluding a police officer, DUI, possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia. Additional charges are pending from California.
DCSO says the investigation is ongoing.
