SPARKS, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) --- A man has been arrested in the deadly hit and run on Sparks Boulevard.
The incident that happened today on Sparks Boulevard involved 29-year-old Adam Walker driving a Ford Explorer on Sparks Boulevard. Sparks Police say the vehicle then hit 34-year-old Sparks resident Ernest Vargas, who was allegedly walking northbound in the southbound lanes on Sparks Boulevard. Vargas died from his injuries.
Walker left the scene prior to police or emergency responders arriving. Through investigative leads, the Sparks Police Department was able to locate Walker and the vehicle in the 600 block of Panama Drive in Sparks.
Walker admitted to driving the vehicle that hit Vargas. Walker is in the process of being booked at WCSO for Felony Hit and Run and Driving on a Suspended License. Other charges will be reviewed once all the information is received on the case.
