RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Nevada Highway Patrol is reporting that a man has stolen and abandoned an NHP vehicle before shooting himself.
According to Barb Stapleton with NHP, there was a routine traffic stop by NHP on a passenger vehicle at I-80 and Mustang. One of the occupants of the vehicle got out and stole the NHP vehicle and took off on I-80 eastbound.
