RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- One Reno man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to deadly hit and run last summer.

On Jul. 7, 44-year-old Candido Aniceto-Trejo was driving westbound on McCarran Boulevard when he drifted to the right and hit a moped in the bike lane. The driver, Eric Thomas, was thrown from the moped and died the next morning from critical head and body injuries.

Aniceto-Trejo originally fled to Texas, but investigators were able to link evidence back to his SUV. Aniceto-Trejo will be deported back to Mexico after he serves his sentence.

Didn't this guy flee to Texas after he killed that kid? And now he is an illegal? 15 years (betcha 6 max) and sent back to his family in Mexico. This is a travesty!
