RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- A man in jail for domestic battery now has bribery charges against him.
Washoe County Sheriff's Office says Darell Davis was booked in jail on January 11 for charges of domestic battery, violating an extended protection order. Reno Police recently added an additional charge of domestic battery with three or more prior, which is a felony.
During a cell search, deputies found a note that Davis had wrote to another inmate that was about to be released. WCSO says in the note, Davis asked the inmate that when he’s released, to go to the victim’s home (that is associated with his case) and ask her not to testify against Davis and not show up to court.
As a result, Davis was given additional charges from the WCSO for bribing a witness and prevent or dissuading a person from testifying.
According to WCSO Inmate Search, Davis’ court date for the domestic battery charge is set for March 14.
