SPARKS, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- The Sparks Police Department is searching for a man wanted for battery with a deadly weapon and eluding police.

Just after midnight Friday, the Sparks Police Department responded to a report of a female being followed by her ex-boyfriend, 24-year-old Reno resident Jordan Phelps. The victim was trying to drive away from Phelps while he followed her in his vehicle -- a 2002 Dodge Truck, NV 209LRG.

SPD witnessed Phelps ramming the victim's vehicle with his truck and attempt to run her off the road. As SPD officers approached Phelps, they say he fled erratically in his vehicle. The victim was located and taken to a secure area.

Phelps eluded pursuing officers throughout Sparks. Officials say his vehicle was located near El Rancho and Wedekind where he then fled on foot -- a foot search of the area was unsuccessful in locating him. Phelps' vehicle was towed from the scene.

A few hours later, Phelps was seen in a cab near the Golden Valley exit. SPD says a traffic stop was used and Phelps got out of the cab before it came to a stop. Again, he fled the area on foot and is believed to be heading to his residence in the North Valley's.

The Sparks Police Department is actively searching for Phelps for Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Eluding a Police Officer. Those with any information are being asked to call secret witness or the Sparks Police Department regarding Phelps' whereabouts.

Start working at home with Google. It’s a great work at home opportunity. Just work for few hours. I earn up to $100 a day. I can’t believe how easy it was once I tried it out.

They should have just sent an under cover cop to his home and waited for him to get there.
