Marathon bombing suspect hospitalized in serious condition

UPDATE - 6:55PM - WATERTOWN, Mass. (AP) -- Police: Boston Marathon bomb suspect fired shots from boat, hospitalized in serious condition.

UPDATE - 6:40PM -
NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (AP) -- Police say three people have been taken into custody for questioning at a housing complex where the younger marathon bombing suspect may have lived.

New Bedford Police Lt. Robert Richard says a private complex of off-campus housing at the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth was searched by federal authorities Friday evening.

Richard says the FBI took two males and one female into custody for questioning.

He says 19-year-old suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev (JOH'-kahr tsahr-NY'-ev) may have resided at or was affiliated with the housing complex. He is registered at the school.

Authorities say Tsarnaev was apprehended after a manhunt Friday that paralyzed the Boston area.

UPDATE - 5:44PM The suspect police have been looking for is alive and in custody, according to NBC News.

UPDATE - 4:16PM - WATERTOWN, Mass. (AP) -- The sound of gunfire has been reported in Watertown, Mass., where authorities have been searching for a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings.

Television footage is showing emergency and military vehicles speeding through town Friday evening.

It wasn't immediately clear whether authorities had found 19-year-old college student Dzhokar Tsarnaev ((JOH'-kahr tsahr-NY'-ev).

Authorities are telling residents of the area to stay indoors.

UPDATE - 4:04PM - NBC Nightly News just tweeted out 'A barrage of gunshots has just been heard.'

UPDATE - 3:54PM - According to CNN, the stay indoors request was lifted and public transit service was restored in Boston. The suspect remains at large.

WATERTOWN, Mass. (AP) -- Police are locking down some neighborhoods in Boston and its western suburbs as they search for the remaining suspect in the marathon bombings.

Authorities urged residents in Watertown, Newton, Waltham, Belmont, Cambridge and the Allston-Brighton neighborhoods of Boston to stay indoors. All mass transit was shut down.

The announcement this morning comes hours after the killing one suspect, known as the man in the black hat from marathon surveillance footage. The man in the white hat is on the loose and police are calling him a "terrorist" who came here "to kill."

BOSTON (NBC News) - Two men identified by law enforcement sources as the Boston Marathon attack suspects — armed with explosives and guns — battled authorities in a Boston suburb early Friday morning, unleashing chaos until cops took one of the men into custody, and the other fled, the sources said.

Officials later said the the suspect taken into custody died.

The standoff in Watertown, Mass., erupted shortly after the fatal shooting of a Massachusetts Institute of Technology police officer. A transit police officer was also wounded in the Watertown fire fight, officials confirmed to NBC affiliate WHDH.

Referencing the photographs that were released by the FBI Thursday, authorities said the "white-hat" suspect was still on the loose. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Officials in Watertown were warning residents to "stay in their homes and not open their doors unless a police officer is there."
"There is a terrorist on the loose," said one officer at an impromptu press conference at about 4:30 a.m. ET.

WATERTOWN, Mass (KRNV & say one of two suspects in the shooting of a Massachusetts Institute of Technology police officer is dead and a massive manhunt is underway for another, who is believed to be tied to the Boston Marathon bombing.

Shortly after the MIT officer was shot dead Thursday night, police got a report of a carjacking in Cambridge, just outside Boston. One of the two suspects in that officer's shooting was killed. Police say of the at-large suspect, "We believe this to be a terrorist."

The FBI said it is working with local authorities to determine what happened.

The MIT shooting on the Cambridge campus Thursday night was followed by reports of violence in nearby Watertown, about 10 miles west of Boston.

Unless you are an actor or a scientist you cant get a green card for the USA from the UK anymore because the US wants more diversity and there are too many english speaking anglo saxons. I'm a professsional with legally earned assets worth several million dollars and I cant live or work in the US. But you hand out green cards to terrorists and gangsters.
