RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) - Former Nevada assistant football coach Jim Mastro tells News 4 that he is not interested in the open head coaching position with the Wolf Pack.  In a statement issued to KRNV Sports Director Bryan Samudio, Mastro said: "To end all speculation, I am not interested in the head coaching job at the University of Nevada.  I have a great job with a great friend who I made a commitment to that I intend to keep."

Mastro is currently the running backs coach at Washington State University under longtime friend Mike Leach.  Mastro was considered one of the possibilities to replace Chris Ault at Nevada, since he helped Ault implement the pistol offense with the Wolf Pack in 2005.  Before Washington State, Mastro spent time at UCLA as the Bruins running backs coach.
