RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- One of Nevada's remaining World War II veterans has passed away.
Charles L. Tremain was among more than 30 other veterans in northern Nevada's inaugural Honor Flight to Washington D.C. in October 2012.
Tremain served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and as a captain during the Korean War.
Tremain moved to Reno in 1972.
While on Honor Flight, Tremain was able to visit the memorials dedicated to his service. He also received a surprise visit from his granddaughter.
The memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at Christ Church of the Sierra.
