RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Microsoft is celebrating 15 years of business in northern Nevada.
A community reception was held today for the company to share it's history of business here in Nevada.
In 1997, Microsoft Licensing had fewer than 50 employees based in the NV Energy building. Since then, the company has expanded its campus across three buildings, added support for new lines of business and grown its workforce to more than 500 employees and local business partners.
There was also a check presentation at today's reception, as Microsoft donated money to nine local non-profit groups.
