UPDATE: 5:10PM - Vicki Campbell with WCSD says 67 students were on the bus. Two were seen by REMSA, but none were transported to the hospital.
WCSD is reaching out to parents to let them know their children will be home late.
UPDATE: 4:50PM - Reno Police say there were 68 children on board, and they were leaving from Alice Smith Elementary School. There were no injuries to anyone on the bus.
The driver of the school bus was turning left onto E. Golden Valley Road from Beckwourth Drive, and might have violated the right of way for oncoming traffic.
The damage caused was to the side of the bus. NHP is assisting Reno Police at the scene.
A Washoe County School District school bus was involved in a minor accident this afternoon while transporting two childen on E. Golden Valley Rd.
According to Vicki Campbell with the Washoe County School District, no one was injured in the accident and alternative transportation is being provided to the children left on the bus. Reno Police say the accident was a fender-bender between the bus and another vehicle that is property damage only with fluids leaking.
