LAKE TAHOE (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Spring fever is hitting the north shore of Lake Tahoe early this year. Willard's Sport Shop in Tahoe City is accommodating to the current drought conditions by keeping their summer bike rentals available.
The bikes were put in storage last November, but quickly returned to the store front as dry weather continues. The shop sees around 20 rentals per week, and owners say the extra income helps the store in a down business year for ski and snowboarding related rentals.
Other sport outlets around the lake are seeing a rise in bicycle sales to local residents looking to get their adrenaline fix in this barren winter.
