RENO, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- With tuition likely increasing in the future for students attending the University of Nevada, the good news is more financial aid will be available.

UNR officials say about 15% of tuition increase will go to Financial Aid to give more students grants and scholarships. Currently, the university gives out about $9.2 million in grants and $1.6 million in scholarships, a big increase the last three years.

Several scholarships are available to students, and they can easily be applied for through the university's "My Nevada" website.
