ZEPHYR COVE, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- A man was seriously injured after a motorcycle crash around 3:30pm yesterday on Highway 50 near Zephyr Cove.

The driver of a yellow 1981 Volkswagen van made an improper u-turn in the path of the motorcycle, according to Trooper Chuck Allen with Nevada Highway Patrol. Kwan was cited for an improper u-turn.

The victim is Joshua William Hanlon, 20, of Henderson, Nevada. Hanlon was driving a white 2013 Kawasaki motorcycle. NHP says he was briefly trapped under the van.

Both the drivers of the motorcycle and van were transported via Care Flight to Renown. The driver of the van had non-life-threatening injuries.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
