RENO, Nev. (AP) — A mountain lion making itself at home beneath a deck at a southwest Reno home has been captured and is being released back into the wild.

Nevada Department of Wildlife spokesman Chris Healy says the young male cat was discovered Sunday afternoon at a home on Zolezzi Lane in southwest Reno.

Wildlife biologists captured the big feline.

On Monday it was being taken up into the Carson Range, where biologists planned to release it above Lake Tahoe's east shore.

Last year a 100-pound lion made its way into downtown Reno, where it almost got into Harrah's casino. It also was released near Lake Tahoe after it was equipped with a radio collar.

Healy says the tracking device shows that animal is now about 200 miles south of Reno.
