ELKO, Nev. (AP) — Second-degree murder charges have been dismissed against a 49-year-old woman in the drug overdose death of her son in Elko.

The Elko Daily Free Press reports Elko District Judge Al Kacin dropped the charge against Jane Ann Getty.

But she pleaded guilty Wednesday to a charge of conspiracy to violate the Uniform Controlled Substance Act.

Getty was accused of giving her 18-year-old son, Quentin Armas, the $50 he used to buy heroin the day before he was found dead in his home Oct. 20, 2011.

She told investigators that her son had been to the dentist for his wisdom teeth and was in pain even after he had taken two prescribed pain pills.

Kacin ruled there was insufficient evidence to try Getty for second-degree murder in the case.

Al Kacin is the wormlike chickenshit who - along with "judge" C*nt Kidner - wrongly convicted H. Dean Berry of battery. In Elko County, Nevada, you don't even need a legal education to be a DA or "judge", you just have to belong to one of the areas top 100 families. I defy anyone to show me where chickenshit Kacin proved her case.

It's too bad prosecutor's are immuned from the law. They do stupid thing's to get themselves noticed in the new's during an election. Whomever the prosecutor was in this case, should be ashamed of himself or herself for putting this mother thru hell during such a terrible time in her life after she loses her son to a drug overdose or etc. My heart goes out to her.
