RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- It's not exactly a shocking discover, but a shock that helps discover what the Nevada Division of Wildlife was looking for.
This morning, NDOW was out at Rock Park with an electro-fisher and a crew of fishery biologists. The electro-fisher temporarily stuns the fish, they float up, the crew nets them and the fish are put into a live well infused with oxygen. The crew then measures, weighs and identifies what fish have been captured.
The fish are then safely put back into the water and the biologists go to another transect to repeat the chore on a different section of the river.
