RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- While hundreds joined in on St. Patrick’s Day festivities, the Nevada Highway Patrol says the majority of those that celebrated did so responsibly.
The Nevada Highway Patrol logged only two DUI arrests in the Reno-Sparks area. Both of those arrests happened between the hours of 8 p.m. and 12 a.m. The NHP did not investigate any major or serious injury accidents during the same celebration hours in the Reno-Sparks area.
The NHP attributes the minimal arrests to the state-wide media campaign urging participants to celebrate the holiday responsibly.
