RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- The Nevada Supreme Court will launch this year's Law Day Easy Essay Contest today, which offers the state's middle and high school students an opportunity to express themselves on questions relating to the Law Day theme of Realizing the Dream: Equality for All.
The Easy Essay Contest is comprised of the five weekly contests with cash prizes each week. Every Monday a question will be posted on the Supreme Court's Law Day website (
lawday.nevadajudiciary.us) that will challenge students' creativity, writing skills, and understanding of the justice system.
Students will have until the end of each week to submit their entries by email to lawdaylive@nvcourts.nv.gov
Essays are limited to 100 words and each weekly winner will receive a $100 prize donated by Supreme Court Justice Michael Cherry, in cooperation with the State Bar of Nevada.
Winners will be announced each week and their essays, along with those worthy of "honorable mention" will be posted on the Supreme Court's Law Day website.
