RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -Battling cancer is certainly no laughing matter... But it sure doesn't hurt to have a good sense of humor.

LeeAnn Trotter tells the story of a father trying to get a few thousand laughs to help his son. So far... hundreds of people have submitted jokes to jokes4miles.com. The goal is to collect 5,000 jokes.

Miles Austrovich has beat brain cancer three times in the past years... but it's back again. So, he and his dad Len are preparing for the next phase of treatment.

Today, he's giving permission for Children's Memorial Hospital to transfer frozen stem cells to Children's Memorial in Los Angeles, where he will undergo 2 more stem cell transplants. He's stayed positive throughout this whole ordeal. Miles will travel to Los Angeles for the stem cell transplant on May 6th where he will stay isolated in the hospital for three to six months.

But you can help make that time more enjoyable for him by submitting a joke... or simply a message of support... at jokes4miles.com
