In a press release Reno police announced that the "suspicious device" was what appeared to be a pipe bomb hanging above the front door of an apartment at 3925 Clear Acre Lane. When the bomb squad was called, they determined that it was not actually a bomb, but a fake, possibly designed to look like a pipe bomb.

The evacuation has officially ended and bomb squad has left the scene.
News Four spoke with officers on scene who say that the suspect appears to have left the area.
Crews on scene say that the suspicious device appeared to have been a makeshift bomb set above the door of the residence.
Reno, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com)-- Officials report that a neighborhood has been evacuated after officers found a suspicious looking device in their search for a suspect.
Sergeants report that the 3900 block of Clear Acre has been evacuated and the bomb squad called in to deal with a suspicious looking device. According to their report, officers were looking for a potential suspect when they found the device outside the suspect's residence. The bomb squad was quickly called and the neighbors evacuated. It is currently unknown if the suspect is inside the apartment.
