Statement by Nevada men’s basketball coach David Carter:

“Jerry Evans came to me to let me know that during a traffic stop on Wednesday, he was arrested on contempt of a court charge for an unpaid traffic ticket. He will be paying the fine for the outstanding ticket on Monday. I have spoken to Jerry at length about the importance of taking care of your responsibilities. Jerry has learned a valuable lesson from this experience, and we will handle any additional disciplinary action internally.”
