CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Former Nevada Division of Parole and Probation chief Bernie Curtis has joined the staff of Rep. Mark Amodei.

Curtis will hold a part-time position as local government representative in the Republican congressman's Reno office.

Curtis also is a former Douglas County commissioner and undersheriff as well as a former Elko County undersheriff and Carson City sheriff's chief deputy.

In other moves announced this week, Tracy Soliday and Ken Brooke will serve as constituent service representatives in Amodei's Reno office, while Lauren Currie will serve as legislative correspondent in Amodei's Washington office.

Soliday was a regional representative for former U.S. Sen. John Ensign and more recently oversaw public relations at the Silver Legacy Resort & Casino in Reno.
